I read this article by Dr. Joseph Mercola that discusses the effectiveness of the flu vaccine and how vaccinated individuals pose a hidden threat to public health. These flu clinics really struck a nerve with me after reading the article. In this day & age someone can get a flu shot virtually anywhere. Why the need to bring it into our schools? Could it be the almighty dollar?
The RI Department of Health purchases the vaccines that are administered throughout the state. In fiscal year 2019 the RIDOH had expenditures totaling $5,188,880.00 with Glaxo Smith Kline LLC. Year to date (Fiscal Year 2020) the RIDOH has had expenditures totaling $744,660.00 with Glaxo Smith Kline LLC.
The Wellness Company that provides the clinics receives the flu vaccine at no charge from the RIDOH they also get paid to provide these clinics. In fiscal year 2019 they received $134,274.39 In fiscal year 2020 which started in June of 2019 they have received $20,337.05
The Wellness Company is currently using Fluarix-Quadrivalent and Flulaval-Quadrivalent and expect that supply to last another few weeks. Inserts linked above. When I looked at the CDC’s website, there were several different types of flu vaccines from several pharmaceutical companies. So, unless we ask what they are administering we are just accepting blindly that they are all the same.
